Serves 2
***You will need a kitchen blowtorch for this recipe***
***We used simple syrup as a tasty “glue” to make a crushed biscuit rim, but serving you hot chocolate with a whole biscuit is a quicker hack!***
INGREDIENTS
1 tsp cornflour
250ml full cream milk
100g dark chocolate (45%), finely chopped
3 tbsp Dutch cocoa
Pinch fine sea salt
1 x 220g jar Dollar Sweets Marshmallow Whip
2 x Marie biscuits (or other plain biscuits)
METHOD
Combine cornflour and 60ml of the milk in a mug and use a fork to whisk until there are no lumps.
Heat remaining milk in a small saucepan until simmering. Remove from the heat, add cornflour mixture, cocoa powder and salt, whisking until smooth. Return the saucepan to a low heat, adding the chocolate and whisking constantly until the chocolate melts and the drink thickens.
Pour the chocolate between two mugs. Spoon over the Marshmallow Whip and torch with a kitchen blowtorch until crispy and browned. Serve with a whole or crushed biscuit.
