Strawberry Slasher Matcha Cloud

This recipes makes extra strawberry blood, which is also delicious for not-so-spooky scenarios with sparkling water and a couple of slices of lemon.

 

100g Dollar Sweets Choc Melts

Dollar Sweets Halloween Sour Sprinkles

600ml coconut water

Ice, to serve

 

STRAWBERRY “BLOOD”

250g punnet strawberries, washed and hulled

110g caster sugar

 

MATCHA CLOUD

90ml thickened cream

60ml full cream milk

30ml maple syrup

½ tsp Dollar Sweets Vanilla Bean Paste

5g matcha powder, sifted

 

Melt the Choc Melts in a small bowl. Dip the rims of two tall glasses into the chocolate and working quickly, sprinkle with Dollar Sweets Halloween Sour Sprinkles. Tip any excess sprinkles out of the glasses. Set aside the glasses until the chocolate has set.

 

To make the strawberry blood, blend together strawberries and sugar until smooth, then strain through a fine sieve, discarding the seeds.

 

To make matcha cloud, in a tumbler combine all ingredients. Use a milk frothing wand or small whisk to blend until thick and fluffy (this takes a couple of minutes).

 

Fill two glasses with ice. Pour coconut water evenly between the glasses, then pour into each cup 60ml of the strawberry “blood” and top with matcha cloud to serve.
